Please have your ticket and ID ready for security and ticketing checks, which may begin up to 2 hours before the ship’s departure.
The International ISPS Code requires all port facilities to carry out security checks on all passengers (whether on foot or in vehicles) presenting themselves for boarding.
Security staff will systematically carry out an access check (verification of the ticket) as well as a visual inspection (of the passenger, their luggage and/or the vehicle). The passenger may then be subject to a security screening, which involves a more thorough check of their luggage and/or vehicle, in accordance with all current regulatory requirements.
Passengers should have their tickets and identity documents ready to facilitate security checks and should keep all these documents with them if they wish to leave the port security zone temporarily.
The VIGIPIRATE Plan is currently in force at the port of Bastia.
